MSc Mikael Börjeson, born 1955, holds a position as CEO for Centre for Distance-Spanning Technology CDT - a joint academy-industry centre for IT/Telecom research, development and innovation, hosted by Luleå University of Technology.
Mikael examined as MSc in Luleå, Sweden 1979. Former professional positions include systems development (LKAB Prospektering 1979-1986), head of department R&D (SEMA 1986-1989 and Ericsson 1989-1996) and R&D centre management (CDT 1997-).
Mikael experience includes international ICT R&D project management, founder/co-founder of several new companies (ITNorrbotten, Marratech, Operax, Rubico, Oricane), various board positions and strategy advisor for venture capital and investment funds.
